La Canea-Suda (Chania) Airport, is a military greek airport also used for civil flights, and is the second airport of Crete.
During summer season this airport handles every day a big number of flights, most of them are charter flights.
LUXSOLAR for this airport, as well for the other Greece regional airports managed by Fraport, has provided an Identification Beacon, a useful tool for in-flight pilots that allow to uniquely identify an airport. In 2023, TWIN Low Intensity Aircraft Warning Lights Type LIOL-B (32cd steady red for nighttime signalling) were integrated. These beacons ensure light redundancy, for an optimal performance, and are particularly suitable for areas with limited accessibility.
