Orio al Serio International Airport, also known as “Il Caravaggio International Airport”, it is located in the municipal territory of Orio al Serio, 5km from Bergamo and 50km from Milan. It is the third busiest international airport in Italy.
The airport operates alongside Milan-Malpensa Airport and Milan-Linate Airport, and this system in 2016 handled 40 milion passengers. This facility is mainly used by low cost airline companies, and is the first airport in Italy for low-cost flight’s passengers handled.
In 2016, for the lighting towers inside the airport, LUXSOLAR has provided low intensity obstruction lights LIOL-B type (32cd red steady during night) TWIN version (with LED emergency light circuit inside the same lighting fixture, so in case of failure of the main circuit, the emergency one will allow the beacon working).
