The Great Mosque of Algiers is the third largest mosque (after Mecca and Medina's Al-Masjid an-Nabawi) and boasts the tallest minaret in the world (265 meters).
Its completion took place in 2019 and LUXSOLAR has been requested to supply High Intensity Aircraft Warning Lights (200.000cd) for the Minaret and Medium Intensity Aircraft Warning Lights (20.000cd) for the Prayer Hall. All the lights installed on the two structures flash synchronously, giving the idea of a unique obstacle that aicraft pilots can easily recognize during day and night or in adverse weather conditions.
The project, at a later stage, also involved the supply of Helipad system complete with inset TLOF perimeter lights, windsock, Heliport Beacon and control panel to easily manage the lighting system.
