Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) is Kuwait's national oil refining company.
Founded in October 1960 as a privately owned holding company owned by the government and the private sector of Kuwait, the KNPC became fully owned by the government in 1975. In 1980, following the restructuring of the oil industry in Kuwait, the KNPC was under the new Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), which is also owned by the government. Under this position, KNPC took over control of the distribution of petroleum products in Kuwait, along with the ownership of the refineries of Mina Ahmadi and Mina Abdullah.
